The varsity boys’ basketball team defeated White Lake last night by the score of 52-36 to stay in the hunt for the Northern Lakes championship. There will be practice after school today in Wabeno, the bus will leave at 3:20.
The girls’ basketball team will host Crandon tonight in Laona. The JV game will start at 5:30 with varsity play to start shortly after. Good luck tonight girls!
Students, you will have until the end of the day today to turn in any missing work to your teachers. Remember that receiving some points on an assignment is a lot better than receiving a zero. The end of the first semester is this Friday and report cards will be mailed out next Thursday.
Any students in grades 9-12 who are interested in being a part of the spring musical, there will be full cast rehearsal next week Monday through Thursday, January 22-25 in Wabeno. Auditions for specific parts will come later in the week after you know the material a bit better. Newcomers are always welcome, no previous experience is needed!
Kollin Gerow, a Crandon Elementary student, has been recently diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia. We would like to support Kollin and his family, so we are asking for $1 donation for a bag of popcorn. The proceeds will be used to benefit the costs that Kollin’s family will face in the future. If you would like a bag of popcorn for this afternoon, please stop in the high school office and pay Mrs. Enders for your popcorn. Mrs. Enders will be taking orders for popcorn until the end of first hour today. Your popcorn will be delivered to you this afternoon. The cost for the popcorn is only one dollar and it is for a very good cause!
There will be a Forensics Meeting on Monday during 8th hour in the library to finalize our selections. Please have an idea of what you will like to do for your piece when you come.
There will be a Student Council Meeting on Tuesday during 8th hour to start planning Winterfest. We will be setting the dress up days and talking about fun activities. Come with ideas.
Any student that is not currently on the trap team but would like to join, please stop in the office and pick up an envelope. All of the registration forms and information that you will need is in that envelope.
If you plan on participating in track and field this spring, please sign up in the office by Friday. It is important that you also list your shirt and pants size, Coach Twardowski would like to order new warm ups for the team and the number of warm ups and the sizes are needed.
If we treat each other with respect each day, we will create a positive environment for everyone! Have a great day!
